Jim and I had so much fun when we traveled in our van for 10 years throughout the US, Canada, Mexico, and Guatemala.Fotogypsieshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04266430625677511646noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4138518655144958694.post-78777192999596541562016-11-04T20:34:51.877-04:002016-11-04T20:34:51.877-04:00Great to be reading about your adventures again.

I am 16th generation American, my family finally settled in Iowa (before my parents broke free and moved to California), and I was raised hearing it referred to as "the buckle of the Corn Belt" -- and indeed, it is. Through my 7th grade, we returned to Iowa every year, always by car. So do I know cross-country road trips!

The thing I love the most about your posts is your voice: I hear you in every sentence. We could be at an artichoke dinner and you're telling me a story. That's what I love about writing. Only, I can't hear my own voice. But I hear you -- and as people younger than me say, that's awesome. That's the best part about writing: recognizing someone's voice. Yours is s distinctive.

TimTimothy Jay Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09584741166351922888noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4138518655144958694.post-67368365022409359872016-11-04T16:53:39.738-04:002016-11-04T16:53:39.738-04:00It's always fun to read of your travels! I hope all is going well, and we'll get to hear about the new baby in future Travel Oyster installments! And if you're back in the Denver area for longer next June, it would be lovely to see you!
