But I am intrigued by "The Chatelet Apprentice" and look forward to reading it.<br /> I wonder if you know the mysteries written by Fred (for Frederique) Vargas? Most are translated into English Her detective hero is Adamsberg. Her works are very well written, and take place all over France (and sometimes outside the country as well).
